Degas Movement Figures

5th graders studied the artist Edgar Degas. They noticed the movement he shows in his artworks of ballerinas and horses. Students created their own Degas’s inspired movement artworks. They started out making their own scratch paper using oil pastels. Next, they formed a figure doing some kind of action out of tin foil.

  2. These are so cool! My students will love this assignment. What a great idea for the scratch art paper. How did you get the foil figures to stick to the background?
