Symmetrical Masks

These masks were made by 5th graders with my sub, Jennifer Boudreau! They turned out great! Got many complements!

  1. Oh my gosh, they are SPECTACULAR! Could you get your sub to give you some specifics of her instructions to pass on to your readers? They are some of the nicest looking paper masks I've seen, and I'd love to know how she got them to do what they did.

  2. I agree!! I saw these done at an Art Show this past summer and LOVED how they turned out! They look so difficult, though, but the art teacher ALSO did them with her 5th graders! Any instructions or advice as to how to go about doing these?

Check out my blog! http://art-paper-scissors.blogspot.com.... new and would love some feedback! Happy Holidays and congratulations on the beautiful baby boy!!

  3. I asked my sub for directions, and here is her response:

The real credit goes to Peggy Flores and her video

Paper Mask making. I believe the video can be found through

A cultural art magazine. Or Crystal ? I typed up Peggy Flores

On google and found “word for word” her directions typed up.

I followed that basically. Hope this helps!!!
