Art class is a Hoot!

In Art class, 3rd graders reviewed the primary colors; red, yellow and blue and the secondary colors; orange, green and purple. Students painted a large piece of paper using the primary colors to mix the secondary colors. Next, they practiced their cutting and gluing skills to create these awesome owls!

    I love this idea! Your students' owls are so cute. My 1st grade students made decorative paper when we studied Eric Carle's art style and then made wild birds out of the colorful paper. Secondary color owls from decorative paper would be a great extention to this unit. I'll link back here when I make and post this lesson. Thanks for the great idea!

    I LOVE this idea to help teach secondary colors. My students loved putting designs in the paper to review the "Lines" unit we did at the beginning of the school year. Thank you for sharing!

    Those drips emulated the manner of successful abstract expressionists (including Willem de Kooning). The silk-screens probably were stolen in the previous few years because of the state of the fakes. Get more interesting details about andy warhol art this site.
