Monet Mural

4th graders learned about Monet and Impressionism through power point then they each created a Monet pond w/water lilies. They were displayed close together to look like a giant Monet pond!

These masks were made by 5th graders with my sub, Jennifer Boudreau! They turned out great! Got many complements!

Dream Snow

First graders read the book, Dream Snow by Eric Carle. We made art like him by painting snowflakes onto transparencies to go over our snowmen!

Melted Crayons

I know I've seen this out there on other blogs, but thoughts I'd post anyways...I made these melted crayons as a little Christmas gift for my nieces and nephews. I'll also make some for my classroom. They are cute and so easy to make!

Forget Waldo, Where is Mrs. Bartolazzi?

I've been out on maternity leave the first 12 weeks of school. My sub started the year off the same way I would have, making a giant Where's Waldo wall. Each student made a mini self portrait to add to the wall. Last year, it said, "Forget Waldo, Where is Mrs. Stelmach?"(our principle)...This year my sub changed it to my name! Very thoughtful of her! She made a cute drawing of me holding my baby. The kids love trying to find themselves, their friends, siblings and even Waldo was added too!

Brodie Michael

Sorry for not posting for months! I've been busy with the recent birth of our first child, Brodie born in July. I was lucky enough to have the first 12 weeks of school to spend hugging and kissing my little one to pieces! But now its back to reality! I plan to post some pictures of the neat lessons my long term sub did (with her permission of course). I am starting my time back with a Monet unit and then a Chihuly unit! Can't wait to see how they turn out and will be sure to share!
